How the plan is structuredBackground, development timeline, and the contact for the fictional City of Alderport Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.
Municipalities are required to develop a Community Safety and Well-Being Plan. Alderport's plan, covering a ten year horizon, was released after a period of community consultation and data collection. It sets out 7 priority areas, 15 recommendations, and 48 actions aimed at strengthening safety and well-being across the community.
A plan document on its own is difficult for a resident to act on. This portal puts the two useful halves in one place: the services a person can call today, and honest progress on what the municipality committed to. Both halves sit on the same page, so nobody has to know which department owns which piece.
